Terms of Use

Gappon is a freemium app offered by Nozomi Okada. It is a bilingual scripture reader that provides access to the four standard works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price — as well as the Hymns, in both Japanese and English.

By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the service.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at nozokada@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its related systems
  • Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service

Intellectual Property

The app and its original content, features, and functionality are the property of Nozomi Okada. The scripture and hymn content is the property of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Japanese Bible text is the property of the Japan Bible Society. All rights are reserved by their respective owners.

Gappon Premium

Gappon offers an optional subscription called Gappon Premium, which unlocks the following features:

  • Cloud sync for bookmarks & highlights
  • Side by side view
  • Hide furigana
  • Passage lookup by verse number
  • Highlighting and notes
  • Text-to-speech playback
  • Joseph Smith Translation (JST)
  • Navigation bar hierarchy jumps

Gappon Premium is a subscription that automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings. Payments are billed and managed by Apple or Google, and refunds are subject to their respective policies.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Nozomi Okada does not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nozomi Okada shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. We advise you to review this page regularly for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting on this page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

利用規約

Gappon（以下「本アプリ」といいます）は、Nozomi Okadaが提供するフリーミアムアプリです。末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の4つの標準聖典（聖書、モルモン書、教義と聖約、高価な真珠）および賛美歌集を、日本語と英語のバイリンガルで提供する聖典リーダーです。

本アプリをダウンロードまたは使用することで、本利用規約に同意したものとみなされます。本サービスをご利用になる前に、必ずお読みください。

ユーザーアカウント

利用者は、アカウントの認証情報の機密保持、およびアカウント上で行われるすべての活動について責任を負います。アカウントへの不正アクセスを発見した場合は、直ちにnozokada@gmail.comまでご連絡ください。

禁止事項

利用者は以下の行為を行ってはなりません。

  • 違法な目的、または適用される法令に違反する目的での本アプリの使用
  • 本アプリのいかなる部分についても、リバースエンジニアリング、逆コンパイル、または逆アセンブルを試みること
  • 本アプリまたは関連システムへの不正アクセスを試みること
  • 本サービスを損傷、無効化、または機能低下させる可能性のある方法での使用

知的財産権

本アプリおよびそのオリジナルコンテンツ、機能はNozomi Okadaの所有物です。聖典および賛美歌集のコンテンツは末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会に帰属します。日本語聖書のテキストは日本聖書協会に帰属します。すべての権利はそれぞれの権利者に帰属します。

Gapponプレミアム

Gapponでは、以下の機能を利用できる「Gapponプレミアム」というオプションのサブスクリプションを提供しています。

  • しおり・印のクラウド同期
  • 日英横並び表示
  • ふりがなを非表示
  • 節番号で検索
  • 印付けとメモ
  • 読み上げ機能
  • ジョセフ・スミス訳（JST）
  • ナビゲーションバーの階層移動

Gapponプレミアムは、現在の請求期間が終了する少なくとも24時間前にキャンセルしない限り、自動的に更新されるサブスクリプションです。サブスクリプションの管理またはキャンセルは、App Store（iOS）またはGoogle Play（Android）のアカウント設定からいつでも行えます。お支払いはAppleまたはGoogleによって管理・請求され、返金はそれぞれのポリシーに従います。

免責事項

本アプリは、明示または黙示を問わず、いかなる種類の保証もなく「現状のまま」提供されます。Nozomi Okadaは、本アプリがエラーなく、または中断なく動作することを保証しません。法律で許容される最大限の範囲において、Nozomi Okadaは本アプリのご利用に起因するいかなる損害についても責任を負いません。

アカウントの停止・終了

本利用規約に違反した場合、当社の裁量により、お客様のアカウントを停止または終了する権利を有します。終了した場合、本アプリを使用する権利は直ちに消滅します。

利用規約の改定

本利用規約は、改定されることがあります。改定があった場合は、このページに掲載された時点で即時に有効となりますので、定期的にご確認いただくことをお勧めします。

準拠法

本利用規約は、抵触法の規定にかかわらず、カリフォルニア州法に準拠します。
